About Me
This is my passion: traveling and capturing the God given beauty in every day.
This was the start of a lifelong interest in photography as art.
My journey into art came when I was asked, like most 6 year olds, what I wanted to do when I grew up. My responce was a scientist. This changed when I found an empty toilet paper roll with the triangular wrap pulling away. Holding it up in my darkened bedroom to the light the silhouette formed a dog's head when turned one way, a rooster when turned another way and an eagle's head when turned again. The next day I painted two paintings based upon what I had seen. They won blue ribbons at the Los Angeles County Fair.
When asked what I wanted to be after that I said an artist.
When I was 8 I was given a hand-me-down Kodak Brownie camera. I was in awe of the technology (even though, at the time, I didn't know what technology was). This was the start of a lifelong interest in photography as art.
I won't fill in the gaps much from then until now, but then came the drone.
My work is a combination of drone photography, DSLR and full frame cameras, One+ Hasselblad camera phone, Lightroom, and anything else I can find to make a photograph. The process starts with a raw, ferral scene, and then progresses through my brain and camera, The feral becomes tamed as it is worked through what used to be a darkroom and my imagination to create the final art.
